"I always wanted to walk down the red carpet!"

When I walked up to the entrance of Roman Anthony's I started to get a good feeling about the upcoming experience. It just so happens that they have a red carpet rolled out just for you and me. I thought that was a very nice touch.

Once I entered Roman Anthony's I had a very relaxing, romantic feeling. The light glowing from every lit candle with the classic red and white color scheme table settings really set the mood.

The server was very attentive and had a very nice smile. I started the night off with a big glass of Tapena Spain. In my opinion there aren't too many wines that are better than a good Spanish Tempranillo. From there I looked over the menu and decided to start with the Crispy Calamari, Hot Pepper Ragout, with Lemon Butter Sauce and Italian Parsley.

The helping was plentiful and the taste was brilliant. With every bite I paired the Calamari with the Hot Pepper Ragout, and then lightly covered it with the Lemon Butter Sauce. It doesn't get much better than that.

For my entree I had the Seared Filet Mignon, ½ Grilled Lobster Tail, Potato Puree, Farmers Vegetables, Simple Demi Glace, Truffle Butter Sauce, and Green Oil.

I always get my Filets medium rare and this one was perfectly pink, juicy like no other, and every bite was like a flavor explosion. 

The 1/2 Lobster Tail was the perfect complement to the Filet's flavor. Every bite screamed it was grilled, and with every dip into the Truffle Butter Sauce the Lobster just melted in my mouth. The portions were larger than I could finish on my own. Mother was extremely happy when I brought this back to her.

To cap it all off I had one of my favorite desserts, Classic Tiramisu! The portion size was gigantic for a dessert! There was no way I was going to finish this either. It didn't matter that it was one of the best pieces of Tiramisu I've ever had, I just didn't have enough room left for it all. Because it was so light, fluffy, and scrumptious, I knew Mother would enjoy me bringing this home to her as well. I was right again!

If you have the Metro Dining Club Cards and want to try something new, or even if you don't have the Metro Dining Club Cards, I can't recommend Roman Anthony's enough. Delicious, Magnificent, Brilliant!
